About Eureco

Hello!  Thank you for taking the time to pay us a visit at Eureco!  

Eureco has evolved quite naturally over a number of years to become the online store you are visiting today.

I’m Frances (that’s me on the left). I began Eureco because, like many others, I was aware of the need to make changes in the way we consume the Earth’s resources, however I was unimpressed with the quality and the sophistication of the ‘green’ alternatives available on the market. 

I noticed that I was often dissatisfied with the quality of the ‘eco’ homeware products available, or I was forced to choose between just two boring colours! 

I really wanted to make responsible choices and contribute to the sustainability of our future, but I also wanted to enjoy seriously gorgeous products in fabulous, on-trend colours!  So, drawing on my background in textile production and interior design, I began sourcing chic and contemporary collections of eco-ethical products from around the world.

I began with a collection of bamboo towels and mats designed and manufactured in Belgium. I expanded the collection to include bamboo bathrobes and launched a children’s collection in 2009. In 2010 I launched our organic cotton collection of towels and mats. We have exciting plans to launch two further collections in 2011 but we'll tell you more about those once they're on their way. Keep up to date with all our news by following our blog!

Now enough about me. Eureco is a collaborative effort and owes its success to a whole host of people. Below are just a few of the main contributors that I’d love to thank:

• My mum!  - For supporting the vision and believing in me. For letting me completely take over your house as my office and ‘warehouse’ in early years, and for endlessly ‘talking shop’ at so many breakfasts, lunches and dinners!
• My gorgeous brother Graham – For being our unofficial logistics manager. For having big muscles, for being a genius with a cable-tie and a bit of shelving and for always making me laugh!
• Caroline @ Santens – For answering my endless questions and making business so easy.
• My Retailers – For loving my products and inspiring me through your own adventures in business.
